I first found this foundation when I was looking for drugstore dupes of prestige products. This foundation is said to be a dupe for Giorgio Armani’s Luminous Silk Foundation. I haven’t tried that one so I can’t say if that’s the truth or not. The Giorgio Armani foundation is a cult favorite but let’s be real here, it’s also expensive.
Just because we might not want to spring for the more expensive option doesn’t mean that we ever have to settle for second best. My mission is to find less expensive alternatives that preform just as good or better than their prestige counterparts.
Having said all that…just because something is a great product doesn’t mean it’s a great product for everyone. This is how I feel about this one.
I LOVE this foundation…I just don’t love it for me.
I have extremely DRY skin. Therefore, this one is a little too matte for me. Although, it isn’t a matte foundation it’s more of a mixture of dewy and matte.
I think that this would be perfect for gals with normal to oily skin. In fact, as I was using it I could see gals with oily skin really LOVING this foundation.
To see if my idea was correct I gave this foundation to my daughter, Samantha, to try. She has oily skin and we can never share the same foundation simply because our skin’s needs are just too different.
What was her opinion on L’ORÉAL’s Tru Match Lumi foundation?
She LOVED it!
I was right…it is an awesome choice for those girls with oily skin and I also think it would be good for those girls with normal skin.
