Product Review: L’ORÉAL Sublime Bronze Tanning Serum

This one was the last product I tested during my two months of self-tanning. Again, this one was a little difficult to find. I could have ordered it off Amazon but I found it at Walgreens, which has a decent self-tanner supply.

The L’ORÉAL website says…

Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning Serum will have you looking sun-kissed and golden year-round with a naturally bronzed glow that lasts for up to 2 weeks.

In the sunless tanning world, a claim of “lasts for up to 2 weeks” is a pretty loft goal. This claim is hard, in my opinion, for them to make. Why? Well, sunless-tanners work when the sugar protein, DHA, binds itself to the dead skin cells on the outer layer of our skin. Those skin cells will eventually fall off, this is just what they do. No one but your skin can determine how long that takes. For one girl it could be 2 weeks and for another one it could be 4 days.

My Impressions of L’ORÉAL Sublime Bronze Tanning Serum

I really liked it.

This is THE PERFECT product for a beginner.

The Formula

The formula is a gel like consistency that literally glides on your skin. It also dries very quickly making this an easy choice for you if your a little nervous about sunless-tanning. You don’t have to be afraid of self-tanner but in case you are this one is a good choice.

I used the Medium Natural tan and it did produce a good medium tan. If you love a dark deep one you might not like this.

There is no guide to this formula. Remember a guide simply means the formula is tinted in a way that will help you during application. This one doesn’t have a guide and really their aren’t many self-tanning formulas left that do.

Like most of the L’ORÉAL Sublime tanning products this one has a shimmer. Not a lot of shimmer. Honestly, I had to really look hard to find it but it is there.

The Results

Did this last 2 weeks on me? No, it didn’t.

This lasted the length of any other self-tanner on me. I am really dry skinned (if you have read any of my posts I’m sure I’ve shared that!!) If you aren’t as dry skinned as me it might last longer.

Really, though, you won’t know how long it will last until you try it.

Would I Recommend L’ORÉAL Sublime Bronze Tanning Serum?

Absolutely, this is a quality product that anyone can have success using. As I have mentioned, this one would be a great self-tanner for a beginner. Girls with fairer skin tones will especially love the color this one produces.
