When I was testing self-tanner I tried to find a variety in which to tell your girls about. This was the second water-mousse that I tried. I reviewd another one yesterday (HERE is that review).
To be completely honest and transparent I didn’t think I would like this product. Remember when I mentioned that I have been self-tanning for YEARS! Well it’s been so long that I remember when Jergens launched their first gradual tanner, the one that is still available today. I wasn’t pleased with it. Honestly, part of my displeasure was due to my inability to apply the product properly. Most likely ALL of my displeasure was due to the fact I had no clue what I was doing.
I knew when I decided to test self-tanners that I would have to try a Jergens product. I mean they have a LOT of them. Their self-tanning line is pretty large…but I wasn’t expecting to like it.
Girls, I was wrong. I really like this product. I was so surprised. Evidently Jergens has come a long way since I first tried it.
There is actually a lot to like about this self-tanner.
Well, there isn’t one. I mean it doesn’t smell. I think thats much better than some of the options that smell bad. I’d rather smell nothing than that gross self-tanner smell.
This is a water mousse similar to the one I reviewed yesterday but different. This one is a drier formula. The packaging claims that it “dries in 60 seconds” and I’d definitely say that was accurate. This is probably the quickest drying self-tanner I’ve ever tried.
The bottle says “Flawless Natural-Looking Color Instantly ” that simply means this tanner has a guide. Remember a guide simply means that the lotion is tinted a bronze color so that it makes it easier to see where you have applied product. I actually like a tanner with a guide although many companies are getting rid of it. So, yes, you will “immediately’ notice a color but that color will be washed off after you shower.
That leads us to…
I chose the “Deep Bronze” but it comes in “Light Bronze” if you would rather have that one.
This produced a pretty bronze color. I was really pleased with it. I used it twice in a row and I was pretty dark. I think that anyone would be happy with the level of tan this one produces.
The only negative to this self-tanner and it isn’t really a negative since there are lots of potential contributing factors to it. When I went to exfoliate and prep for a new tanner, I noticed that some areas of my skin were a little splotchy as the tanner was wearing off. This isn’t a big deal breaker for me because the shaving and exfoliating removed any remaining product but I like to give you girls all the info!
Would I Recommend Jergens Natural Glow Instant Sun?
This is one of my favorite new products I found while testing various self-tanners. I can see myself reaching for this if I am in a hurry and need to tan quick. It produced a beautiful tan and I would recommend this to anyone. This was also a super easy product to use, if you are a beginning self-tanner give this one a try. Like with any self-tanner you choose don’t forget to prep first! For more info on that go HERE for a recent blog post!
